IBC Drum Dosing

Our bulk storage systems for raw materials—such as polyol, isocyanate, resins, and additives—can be integrated with a dedicated dispensing station. As shown in the file “1 Drum-Loading-System.JPG”, the drum loading system allows for the safe and controlled transfer of liquid products directly from the main plant storage tanks.

This solution meets the logistics and production need to subdivide bulk raw materials into smaller batches (drums), while maintaining product quality and eliminating the risks of spillage or environmental contamination.

The architecture of the drum filling station consists of standardized industrial elements designed to ensure precision and reliability:

  • Insulated Supply Lines: Overhead piping conveying products from remote storage tanks is properly insulated to maintain stable fluid viscosity and temperature parameters (e.g., polyols or isocyanates).
  • Automatic Shut-off Valves: A pneumatic valve assembly positioned on the discharge drop line provides precise flow control and a clean shut-off when the target volume is reached.
  • Weighing/Dosing Platform: A load cell or flush-floor scale supporting the drum (handled via dedicated trolleys) allows for precise gravimetric weight-based filling.
  • Automation Control Panel: An integrated electrical enclosure equipped with an HMI touchscreen interface to set loading parameters, monitor weight data, and safely manage the filling cycles.
